Hazardous zone

The Sample Recovery System offered by Modcon is designed to collect spent samples from on-line process analyzers and periodically return these samples back to the process lines.

Tank Specifications

  • 100-liter tank available in Stainless Steel.
  • The tank is equipped with a sample connection to allow hook-up from one or more analyzers.
  • The tank is equipped with magnetic level switches to control float.

Pump Operation

  • As the liquid level is reached, turning the sample pump “on”
  • As the liquid is pumped out of the tank, the preset level is reached and the pump shuts down.
  • Pump that achieves up to 130 PSI at its discharge
  • The pump bypass line is equipped with a relief valve to prevent overflow in the outlet line.

Safety Features

  • Atmospheric vent for gas/vaporized sample releasing.
  • Overflow vent for safety

Frequently Asked Questions

The MOD-1200 is designed to collect spent samples from online process analyzers and periodically return them to the process lines. This system helps maintain environmental safety and process efficiency by preventing the discharge of valuable or hazardous samples
The system features a 100-liter stainless steel tank equipped with sample connections to allow hook-up from one or more analyzers. The tank includes magnetic level switches to control the float and manage the sample levels effectively.
As the liquid level in the tank reaches a certain point, the sample pump activates, pumping the liquid back to the process line. Once the preset lower level is reached, the pump shuts down. The pump can achieve up to 130 PSI at its discharge and includes a bypass line with a relief valve to prevent overflow in the outlet line.
The system includes an atmospheric vent for releasing gas or vaporized samples and an overflow vent for additional safety, ensuring that the system operates securely under various conditions
The MOD-1200 is commonly employed in industries such as oil refining, petrochemicals, natural gas, and chemicals, where managing and recycling process samples is crucial for both environmental compliance and cost-effectiveness
By collecting and returning spent samples to the process lines, the MOD-1200 prevents the release of potentially hazardous or valuable materials into the environment, aligning with environmental safety standards
By collecting and returning spent samples to the process lines, the MOD-1200 prevents the release of potentially hazardous or valuable materials into the environment, aligning with environmental safety standards
The system is designed with safety features that make it suitable for installations in hazardous areas, though specific certifications and compliance should be verified based on the installation site requirements
Regular maintenance includes checking the magnetic level switches, ensuring the pump and relief valve function correctly, and inspecting the vents for any blockages to maintain optimal performance
